Review of Death Wish (2018) by Andrew R — 16 Mar 2018

This is one of those instances (that seems to happen way too often these days), where the critics just got it way wrong. I saw it because of Bruce Willis, and it was what I expected it to be. To me it had a very Die Hard feel, just his character is more amatuerish in this than he is in Die Hard, obviously.

I will say that I did not see the original, so can't compare it to that. My dad enjoyed too though, and he saw the original. Even without knowing the original though, I can tell you it's probably very different other than the overall premise, as cell phones play a big role, which I doubt they did in the 1970s.

Overall, if you want a nice, violent action-flick, you'll likely enjoy this. It's exactly what you'd expect after watching the trailers.
