Review of Death Wish (1974) by Tyler B — 22 May 2013
Death Wish is perhaps Bronson's best film of his career. It easily defined not only his career but life in the 70's as general because it's an accurate capture of the time. This film made Bronson a star in America and cemented his career as an action great,.
The Postives: Charles Bronson. He Made the film work and brought his charm.
The Supporting Cast: The cast has some good actors involved, and also has some young up and coming actors like Jeff Goldblum, Christopher Guest and Denzel Washington.
The Tone: The movie has a very dark and violent tone and it helps to spread the movie's message.
Negatives: The Music. I like Herbie Hancock but his score is very dated. I much prefer the score in the next two films.
Gang Get's Away: It would have been nice to see Bronson get revenge but it never happened.
Since it's such a great film there is not much negatives. Check it out and enjoy!
