Review of Death Wish (1974) by Lucas Y — 07 Sep 2008
A classic from the early days of vigilante justice stories, Death Wish chronicles an average New Yorker's transformation into a stone-cold avenger. I suppose that, in the New York of that era, this story seemed quite believable.
It's convincing, and enough to get the point across, and it's fun, but it's not art.
