Review of Death to Smoochy (2002) by Cindy B — 02 Aug 2009
Like a combination of Tim Burton & 'Who Framed Roger Rabbitt', 'Death to Smoochy' is pretty odd & unpleasant, but good. Ed Norton & Robin Williams both deliver incredibly refreshing performances as the ying & yang in the world of childrens television.
The comedy is ineffective at times and DeVito could've been a little sharper on his script & direction, but altogether this was a surprisingly good breath of tainted air.
