Review of Death Sentence (2007) by Ole J — 28 May 2009
I think Bacon plays the part as a family man gone mental or seeking revenge very good. I don't know how I would react if this scenario was to happen to me, hopefully not like this...
The film has a good story, but its mainly based on violence, shooting or taunting, and that gives it a very raw/rough exterior, but it fails in making it special and deeper then that.
I think Bacon and Goodman has the best parts, they are crazy in each their own way, the rest of the cast is not as well known as these two, but they do a good job.
One thing is bad though, an ordinary familie farther is going out to have revenge, and suddenly he is good at getting info from people, fighting and shooting various weapons. Well maybe he was in the army, and maybe he had been in a gun club, but it doesn't seem that way in the beginning of the movie.
If you like a good action movie, that has some good acting and a good story, or just want to be entertaint for 1,5 hour, then see this one.
