Review of Death Sentence (2007) by Michael D — 28 Jun 2009
As much as it was rad seeing Kevin Bacon shave off all his hair, buy a bunch of guns from the awesome John Goodman, and go all Travis bickle on the asses of some hoods who killed his kid, this longwinded, and gratuitous to the point of being unnecessary, illustration of a classic Dalai Lama quote ("an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth makes the whole world blind and toothless") was just that - longwinded and gratuitous to the point of being unnecessary...
Bummer - the Bacon-meister holds out on us for years after Mystic River, and then comes out with this overplayed, overdramatised, overacted, and certainly overrated horses ass of a vengeance action/drama :(.
