Review of Death Sentence (2007) by Simeon M — 26 Jul 2009
I can really only describe this as an emotionally intense tragedy with a blood packed conclusion.
I really like films about ordinary guys who have to dish out some justice on the wicked. This one started out well, taking a few dips and turns before it's explosive finish. The main character doesn't come out righteous, marking this film as a tragedy. There's a hero, but nobody is moral, and no one is blameless. Just some that are much, much worse than others. No one is righteous, not even one.
When accepted as a tragedy, it is satisfying story of a man's trials through loss, emotion, and violence.
