Review of Death Sentence (2007) by Brice B — 10 Apr 2010
Anyone who knows me, knows I love vigilante movies, and this one didn't disappoint. It's pulpy and B-grade, with some moments of cheese (the soundtrack in parts especially), but over all solid as hell.
The action scenes are creative and Kevin Bacon, who I'm not always a fan of, pulls off the "pissed-off dad/bad-ass" thing pretty damn well, especially towards the end. I also love the homages to Taxi Driver they had at the end.
Overall, if you hate revenge/vigilante movies in general, you'll hate this movie, but if you're a sucker for them, like me, you'll probably get some enjoyment out of it.
