If you don't take this one too seriously than you'll be ok. it really harkens back to the vigilante flicks of the 70's. it was very over the top, increasingly to almost unbearable in the last act, but Kevin Bacon is what makes this worth watching.
I could definitely feel for him and see his point of view. However, I did ultimately hate his character and if you watch this to the end you will understand why.
