Review of Death Sentence (2007) by Skyler I — 15 Jul 2011
Overall I found myself liking this revenge film, but just barely. The plot is believeable enough, and I was really sold by some of the strange characters, especially John Goodman's creepy performance.
This is by no means James Wans' best film, but it's watchable if you like brutal, thrilling violence. What I think seperates this from most pointless revenge films is it's emotional signifigance.
Any father in the world has the right to seek retribution against the man who murdered his child, and this film backs that up quite nicely.
