Review of Death Sentence (1968) by Pete S — 11 May 2012
Risible revenge thriller with an incredibly over-the-top and unconvincing performance from the usually reliable Kevin Bacon, that tries to disguise what is basically an excuse for showing off excessive gore and blood make-up effects in an allegedly 'dark' vengeance story.
There are huge, unforgivable plot holes and ridiculous contrivances, and the film is peppered with one-note characters and trite dialogue, not to mention horrendous music choices. Nothing of value here whatsoever.
