If you're expecting anything but exploitative explosion fare with lots of character development, you're in the wrong place, it's called 'Death Race' what do you expect?

That being said, it wasn't a bad film, it was very entertaining with a good story and characters to keep it going. It's filled with funny one liners and an overall likeable cast. The film is able to put in some time for characters to just discuss what has happened and it doesn't detract from the film. The main part are the races, which are great to look at and all of the violence is over the top as we love it to be. It also has a pleasant ending. Nothing Oscar worthy, but a rather fun film.
