Review of Death Race (2008) by James R — 22 Mar 2011
Jason Stathem gets framed for murdering his wife and ends up in a prison competition which is live streamed on the internet. When the famed Frankenstein dies, he dons the mask to keep the illusion alive.
The film has tons of slick action sequences, the problem is it doesn't really have a plot to keep it going. So what you have are long action sequences and a plot which is almost nonexistent. It could have been better, there are seeds of things they could have done to flesh out the world, but this is a total missed opportunity instead.
