Review of Death Proof (2007) by Michelle W — 08 Jan 2012
Tarantino's film's are not only violent and amoral, they are totally self indulgent. This film is totally typical of him and I admit I could not sit through this garbage. The worst thing about the film is that it is just boring.
Let's get a few thing's strait, Tarantino say's his films are outside mainstream moral conventions, which is really his excuse for pointless bloodshed. Another thing, seventies films like Vanishing Point - which this is supposedly based on - did not have a grainy picture full of dots.
Kurt Russell is also one of my favourite actors and a great one, what is he doing in a really bad film like this. Tarantino makes another trendy film, he should not have bothered.
