Review of Death Proof (2007) by Neil P — 10 Jan 2015
The movie isn't the hack and slash horror that one might expect from "Grindhouse" but I still found myself enjoying Death Proof. Yes there is a lot of dialogue, but while some of it seems forced, it all flows well and is very entertaining.
And then you have the car sequences that are exciting, particularly the final one. They could have done without switching to a new group of women halfway through, as I thought the first group of girls were much more interesting, but as a whole, while it's not on the same heights as a lot of Tarantino's previous works, it's still a good addition to his filmography and a fun film overall.
