Review of Death Proof (2007) by Jon P — 15 Nov 2011
Fueled by thrills, bloodthirst and high-octane dialogue, this well-shot homage to Grind House flicks of the 70's is a must-see for Tarantino fans. 'Death Proof' is narratively uninspiring and shrouded in lengthy conversations between car-loving chicks, yet the movie triumphs thanks to lashings of lush ultra-violence and one of the slickest car chases since Richard C.
Sarafian's 'Vanishing Point'. Tough, uproarious and phenomenally entertaining.
