Review of Death Proof (2007) by Jess L — 06 Feb 2013
Self indulgent dribble that goes nowhere and takes a hell of a long time to do it. Visually great, script wise it's a piece of shit. Tarantino gives himself tickets for being able to naturally write great dialogue, news flash, the dialogue in this film is rambling, disjointed, uninteresting, female written from a male perspective, has nothing to do with the actual story and grows tiring very quickly.
Yes there are some good parts but these are only occasional and not enough to make sitting through this pile of trash worth it. It's a shame he gets so much promotion just cos he's Tarantino, cos there are so many better movies that deserve release in Australia.
Poor form Quentin, how about next time you actually try.
