Review of Death Proof (2007) by Bryan P — 09 Apr 2013
The gorgeous actresses, music, visual style and intentionally shoddy editing of the first half create a stellar cinematic cacophony that caught me in its spell. It was partway through the second story, however, where Tarantino's signature dialogue began to feel forced and his femme fatale characters flat.
This is quickly remedied by an exciting conclusion but overall the film ends up feeling rather fragmented.
