Review of Death Proof (2007) by Amjad A — 23 Apr 2013
Maybe this is Tarantino's worst film, and maybe this is second grade Tarantino. But second grade Tarantino is better than almost first grade everyone else. Death Proof is still a brilliant film, despite what critics say.
It doesn't compare to Kill Bill or Pulp Fiction, but it still maintains everything you love in a Tarantino film. The funny dialogue, the unique array of characters and the explotation. The best car duel chase scene I've ever seen takes place at the end of the film.
The whole movie is a build up to the epic ending. But it's a shame people don't see that. Not to mention it was shot brilliantly and acted out superbly.
