Review of Death Proof (2007) by Kevin O — 05 Aug 2013
Tarantino is a man of words as he is a man of action: spouting out countless paragraphs of inconsistent off beat dialogue to prove he kicks arse at screenwriting, but a balance of action with his words is what made his films work to a high level.
Death Proof is wordy as hell and not much action happens in between given the premise. But! It has a f**king kick ass car chase in the third act and Mary Elizabeth Winstead bending over in a skirt so winner by default I guess.
