No where near s good as Tarantino is capable of, but in no way is it awful either, his movies are always interesting character driven stories... And this one starts slow with not much happening for 45 mins, but they are necessary to mould the character Stunt Man Mike.
... After the slow start it changes pace, very rarely stopping and is thoroughly enjoyable...
