One of my favorite movies of all time. A master class in how to construct several different kinds of movies and then combine them into one amazing experience. 70's-style misogyny personified by Kurt Russell as Stuntman Mike gets the update it deserves, but not before Tarantino demonstrates why characters you care about, dialogue, and a slow-burn lead to the most devastating, gut-wrenching horror.
