Review of Death Proof (2007) by Ian C — 22 Jan 2015
Some of the dialogue between the chicks is unbearable at times. Soundtrack is excellent love the intro and the use of 'The Last Race', 'It's so Easy' from Willy DeVille and Serge Gainsbourg's 'Chick Habit'.
The first set of kills are quality and makes up for the GBH to the ears shit the female protagonists are waffling about. The second set of women, are equally annoying but all that goes out the window when you see Winstead in that cheerleader's uniform.
Togs creamed. However, it is screen legend Kurt Russell that makes this such an enjoyable flick. Stuntman Mike is such a great character and one of the most memorable in cinema for some time. He is such a nasty cunt.
Love the way he is stalking them and is almost like a ghost as he drives around. Not as enjoyable as 'Planet Terror' but still good fun.
