So Trantino tries to be bad really hard... He succeeds at least in some ways... However, actually it's a good movie.
Put the plot beside - it's not really essential for this kind of film but Death Proof is funny, gory, has lots of action and witty and odd dialogue you expect from Tarantino.
Yes, he casted some mediocre-at-best actors (I liked Russell though) and these intentional low-quality gimmicks are annoying but fans of slasher B-Movies will enjoy it out of nostalgia for everyone else it's good entertainment.
