Review of Death Proof (2007) by Ashley L — 10 Dec 2011
The trailer had me on this one ;).
It's easy to knock off people with a gun or a kitchen knife, but a car...interesting to say the least, and more so the idea that the murderer is actually putting his own life on the line in order to get his kicks, nice (although it's believed that he knows how to avoid killing himself in the process of killing others cause that's just what he does, he's the expert).
Admittedly I would have loved to love this for the concept alone but I was somewhat disappointed...quite a few scenes were drawn out and boring, too much unnecessary dialog; but the action scenes were just about all I needed to keep me seated although I thought Stuntman Mike folded a bit too much on the ending...come on, he should have had more backbone than that.
