I'm a chick and I love most of Terantino's work. I'd rather watch kick a** females then anything by Nicholas Sparks. I also love the throwback grindhouse style (however I didn't like Planet Terror) and I do own Death Proof.
Terantino definitely has his own style, incredibly witty and intelligent dialogue and totally out there with the dark stories and violence but you roll it all together and you are never bored. It's not for everyone and those who don't like that style shouldn't watch Terantino movies to begin with and rate it poorly.
