Review of Death Proof (2007) by Timo S — 05 Dec 2011
SPOILER ALERT!
Apart from this being filmed in Austin, I'd say this is definitely a pass. The first third of the movie is 95% (boring) dialog in a sad attempt to get you emotionally invested in a bunch of annoying girls who are inevitably (spoiler) killed off abruptly. In which case the movie carries on like the entire plot it had been build hadn't completely fallen apart right then. This could have been forgiven had the antagonist actually terrorized the victims a bit more before (spoiler) dying like a little bitch. Every moment of this movie feels like it's been stretched as thin as possible to make it over the 1hr 45min mark. It's quite astonishing this movie actually lasts 9 grueling minutes longer...
