Review of Death of a President (2006) by Steven P — 01 Jul 2007
Although the idea of this movie is slightly sickening, I was interested in the depiction of the world's reaction to the President's assassination. However, the movie covered nothing but protests before the murder, and the search for the killer after the murder.
No actual points were ever made besides the fact that many Americans hate Bush and that many Americans believe that all wrongdoings against our country are carried out by the people of the Middle East, something you can see by turning on the news for five minutes.
Worst, though, is the fact that the writer seemed to convey that he felt that Bush's assassination would be just because of his mistakes. Slightly intriguing, but ultimately, Death of a President leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
