Review of Death of a President (2006) by Mads D — 04 Dec 2008
This was a brilliant examination of what a post-Bush World would be like if he were to be removed from it by force. I have seen many "mockumentaries," but never a serious use of the form, and I thought this handled the subtleties well.
The "interviews" were believable, and the film became a terrifying scenario; i.e., if you thought living under President Bush was a nightmare, just try President Cheney. Death of a President set a high bar for itself, and then cleared it.
