Review of Death of a President (2006) by Mr P — 13 May 2007
Yikes! Totally unbelievable in the fact that we could actually do this and get away with it. Really well made docu-style movie about someone assassinating President Bush. I'm totally against assassinating the president, no matter how much I dislike them.
However, this movie took the route of not picking a side. It told a story about the events of a truly possible scenario and the ramifications and consequences that could follow it. Definitely believable in its structure.
At times you really believe it is truly happening. That's the brilliance of the film. It shows you a fictional story, but makes you believe in it 100%. Afterwards you realize it was all just a story.
..but that it is a very real, very topical story that could happen at any moment. And damn...I'm still shocked we could do this sorta thing!
