Review of Death Note (2017) by Cody-Sneaky Pants P — 27 Aug 2017
It could've been an hour longer, it could have been a direct adaptation but one things for certain, it will polarize and in time it will find appreciation.
Benefiting from a well defined visual style, a superb synth score and a remarkable performance from Willem Dafoe, Death Note manages to overpower its shortcomings.
Not as impressive as Wingard's previous works such as The Guest, but an enjoyable romp all the same.
