Review of Death Note (2017) by Nitpicker . — 07 Jun 2018
A boy is handed a magic book from a death demon, and he can write in it any name of the person he wishes to die, as long as he follows the rules.
Pros:
- I like the death demon and Willem Dafoe's voice.
- Nice concept.
Cons:
- I didn't care about these characters.
- The cliché of turning on the TV at just the right time and just the right channel.
- They know each other for one day and they're romantically involved.
- "L" figures out everything immediately with no evidence to go on.
The only thing this movie has going for it is to make you look into the manga.
