Review of Death Note (2017) by Skywanderer — 25 Aug 2017
By even considering watching this movie you have already wasted far too much time on it. The adaption doesn't even deserve to use the name "Death Note". The characters have been utterly destroyed, with the exception of Keith Stanfield (who appears to be making the best he can out of a poorly written, off-brand L) the actors are utterly dreadful and downright amateur, and the source material seems to have been completely ignored beyond perhaps the uttering of "So you write names in a notebook to kill people? Cool, let's do that. What? No I don't care about the story, let me just steal the names.".
In short, avoid this movie like the plague. It is not worth a single second of anyone's time.
