If you arent a fan of the manga/anime then go watch The usual suspects... If you are, yet willinh to see changes to this classic for a new perspective then you will like it. Im a huge anime fan and Death Note is in my top 5.
.. Yet I really appreciated this view/direction on it. It didnt depend on Ryuk, and L was definitely interesting.
