Review of Death Note (2017) by M M — 25 Aug 2017
Adam Wingard's Death Note is not the adaptation the fan wanted, but still an enjoyable movie. Some silly scenes, especially the meeting between Ryuk and Light (c'mon guys... for a moment I thought I was watching a parody), but overall the acting was good.
Still questioning myself about the ending, which felt a bit rushed. Maybe an 8/10 episode series would have enhance the potential that the story had, with interesting characters (L played by Lakeith Stanfield was lit, surprisingly a perfect choice for the role) and well(-ish) developed plot-twists.
