Review of Death Defying Acts (2007) by Jessica M — 28 Mar 2009
Okay time-waster has its moments and a certain amount of charm - primarily that of Saoirse Ronan, along with some evocative cinematography. It's always tricky putting a real-life character into a fictional storyline, and because there is no real chemistry between the leads here, the romance fizzles and the Houdini mystique fades with it.
Not bad, but a waste of its potential.
