Review of Death Becomes Her (1992) by Huw P — 23 Aug 2010
Dark, funny and sometimes a bit freaky, Death becomes her is a film from over a decade and a half ago when Meryl Streep was younger, Bruce Willis still had some hair and it was well proven that you didn't have to jump on the 3D bandwagon to make a movie have great special effects.
Death becomes her is a film I quite enjoyed with good laughs and strong acting talents filling the roles; the female fatale french sorceroress is a particular hoot and makes a good anatongist character for the piece. However, this film is all about the three main characters and they don't fail to disappoint. The key thing about this film is not to take it seriously; even when it tries to be serious, just do as Meryl does in the film "Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah".
If you are into camp dark comedies, then watch this. It will give you a laugh, a fright and a mildly thought provoking flick in one go; perfect.
