In 1978, Goldie Hawn is getting married to the wimpy plastic surgeon Bruce Willis. The two are happy together, but to make sure he won't cheat on her, Goldie and Bruce pay a visit to aging actress Meryl Streep.

Any man that doesn't leave her for Meryl is perfect, but it just so happens that that's exactly what he does. Goldie then suffers a nervous breakdown as time progresses, but when we visit the three again twelve years later, things are a lot different: Meryl and Bruce are very unhappy, the latter is now an undertaker while the woman is getting vainer and vainer the older she gets, but oddly enough, Goldie is the successful one.

She's an extremely successful author, looks more beautiful than ever, and is megarich. Immediately, Meryl is jealous, and pays a visit to Isabella Rosselini, a supposed plastic surgeon to make herself look younger and relaunch her career.

Isabella gives her a potion that instantly gives her results, but what actually happened is well ... you'll have to find out. "Death Becomes Her" is a hilarious black comedy directed by the same guy that made "Forrest Gump".

Obviously the two films are on the other side of the board, but in the end, "Death Becomes Her" is a way more entertaining film. Basically, it's a satire on how obsessed people are on staying youthful forever, and Zemeckis instead takes the idea and pokes fun at it in every way possible.

From having Hawn and Streep die about fifty times, or having Rossellini the "youth goddess" appear in some of the weirdest outfits ever, the topic is pushed around so much that you begin to realize the idea is pointless itself.

Fueled by terrific performances and Oscar winning special effects, "Death Becomes Her" is a unique darker than dark comedy that should be more famous today. Recommended.
