Review of Death at a Funeral (2007) by Harrison F — 14 Apr 2010
While the pacing is not the most consistent, it has got enough unexpected twists and turns to keep the viewer's eyes darting from one corner of the screen to the next. A lot of good (though dry) humor and a competent cast.
Frank Oz shows his skills as a director and he proves he is more than a man with a hand up his ass (Muppet jokes, anyone?). If you are at all excited for the American remake than skip the theatrical release and rent the original instead.
Then again, if you're excited for the American remake, you probably won't appreciate real humor.
