Review of Death at a Funeral (2007) by Jc E — 17 Jun 2013
Having watched the remake of this film before seeing this one, I had low expectations. However, I found this flick much more entertaining and endearing than the lackluster fare that was repackaged for black American audiences.
This one doesn't feature any big names - unless you consider Alan Tudyk ("Arrested Development") and Peter Dinklage ("Game of Thrones") big names, alongside Matthew Macfadyen (Robin Hood), Keeley Hawes (The Bank Job), and Ewen Bremner (Fool's Gold) - but the comedy is much sharper.
It's also not as clichéd, offensive, and, well, plagiarized. If you're a fan of British humor, you'll probably appreciate this flick.
