The Verdict: Do yourself a favor and watch this if you haven't. This film is British comedy in tiptop shape. It's sharp, witty, quick and even when it's predictable, you just have to see how things will pan out. It's comedy on crystal meth. I don't even get why they even made a remake of this.

The Good: DAAF assembles the most underrated actors in the British film scene. Yeah, Hugh Grant isn't here, nor is Colin Firth and Emma Thompson. It doesn't mean, however, that we're not in for a treat, because we are. The great thing about British writing is that they know how to even out the characters, give them appropriate roles, quirks and moments. It's easy to see that what this film got so right: it's just perfect writing and perfect performances (not too over-the-top, just right). Man, do they know about pacing. This is a film that just gets better and better up to the end. I would highly recommend this to the Filipino movie writers who insist that the formula to a good film is restricted to: Male Star + Female Star = Good FIlm. Get out of your boxes. Puhlease.

The Bad: Probably the 2010 American remake. :D.
