Now I must say that this film was better than the remake. The humor just seemed to fit better in this film than with the american version. However, it still didn't help the film that much.

I actually did laugh more in this version than in the american version but still found it not that funny granted the humor wasn't trying to force a laugh out of the audience but it really eemed like they were trying. The story was good and the characters were kinda bland but it did have some better cinematography.

The film was also decently lengthed and seemed more grounded than the other version and didn't try and dragg the film along trying to add something to it. And also after watching this movie I noticed that the American version just copied and pasted the script after translating the British slang and vocabulary.

I did like the film and enjoy watching it but I really see no reason to really reconmend it. It is just a chuckle film and is the type of film you haave in your collection to only reallyy watch when you need to get a laugh out yourself after a bad day.

All in all this film is good and not that bad. The American remake is worse.

And before I forget: Yes this is directed by Frank Oz. And he did do a good job. Every time I see a film he has directed he has always done a good job and I enjoy watching his movies.
