Review of Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father (2008) by Jeff B — 25 Jul 2009
Just take out my heart and smash it on the ground. And to think, I just got done watching some of the Little Mermaid and decided to watch this. This was an excellent and devastating film. I didn't know much about it prior to seeing it, so of course I was shocked by many moments in the documentary (particularly the, well, you know).
The director Kurt Kuenne did an excellent job compiling everything and editing and following the story. I was impressed when seeing the end credits that he did so much with this film, including the very nice score.
And it was also tough to watch at times, especially when he was getting choked up trying to do the narration. An important film to watch. It makes you angry and it makes you want to do something about the goverment.
Everyone should see this.
