Review of Dear White People (2014) by Peter F — 04 May 2018
Dear White People is a sly and thoughtful look at race relations, done in a rather unique way. Looking at contemporary issues through the eyes of college students, Dear White People is certainly accessible towards young audiences, and its quirky presentation makes it even more respondent to its demographic.
At times its wit can clash with it's drama, but overall it's a very biting piece, showcasing some bright new talent. Make what you will of the potentially contradictory ending, but everything leading up to it is pretty great.
