Review of Dear White People (2014) by Brandon S — 18 Nov 2014
This is just about the only film that focuses on black kids struggling with identity at a PWI and it does it with a lot of pointed humor. Some may find the characters stereotypical and/or undeveloped (as if rich, deep characters are a staple of comedies or something), the pacing a little bit too swift, and the overall plot kind of.
..irrelevant like any other comedy plot. However, if you can relate or at least understand its worth the price of admission.
