Review of Dear White People (2014) by Jackson X — 09 May 2015
As much as the movie title and the overall vibe it gives off, this movie is not a hate movie towards white people. It is unbiased and touches on so many other controversial issues of our time such as sexuality, privileges, entertainment industry, rightful forms of protest, choices on (in)fidelity, etc.
Along with a load of direct references to Do The Right Thing and its spectacular mise-en-scene, there should be no doubt about its success in Sundance.
