I kind of loved how it all started. A nice summer. Boy meets girl. They have good chemistry. It looks really romantic and PG. He introduces her to his father, the great Richard Jenkins. After that it kind of gets worse and worse.
And with all the tears and cheesy it's a smooth ride downhill. At the end, you have a very cliched soap opera that is just too much to take.
