Review of Dear Frankie (2004) by Sophie F — 19 May 2010
Flat family drama that treats the romance genre with almost no interest. It is subtle at times but Auerbach doesn't care about the pace. He's just pretending to be among the filmmakers that create heartwarming and thought-provoking films of self-discovery. Frankie is not the icon he should be, not like Billy Elliot was, so mostly, this film fails.
59/100.
