Review of Dean (2016)

By Alonso Duralde (1,351) for TheWrap (3,203) on 31 May 2017

The loss doesn’t hit, and the comedy doesn’t land, leaving Dean a wasted opportunity that offers a few talented artists the chance to do…

Review of Dean (2016)

By Simi Horwitz (83) for Film Journal International (5,095) on 31 May 2017

Review of Dean (2016)

By Michael Phillips (2,622) for Chicago Tribune (6,211) on 31 May 2017

Review of Dean (2016)

By Tom Russo (407) for Boston Globe (6,852) on 31 May 2017

Review of Dean (2016)

By Neil Genzlinger (512) for New York Times (5,786) on 30 May 2017

If Mr. Martin’s take on grief is facile, the movie overall is a pleasant trip, and Dean’s doodles — by Mr. Martin himself — are a treat…

Review of Dean (2016)

By Kenji Fujishima (277) for Slant Magazine (8,298) on 27 May 2017

One has to wade through a lot of eye-rolling comic marginalia to get to the film's pained beating heart…

By Jason Gorber (520) for Birth.Movies.Death. (774) on 02 May 2017

A dramedy about love, death and everything in between, and a fine feature debut by comedian Demitri Martin…
