Review of Deadpool (2016) by Denis S — 13 Jun 2018
No rating being given because I'm drunk. But I saw this and it was in my sober mode of self, sucking ass. The plot was nonsense, temporarily frankensteined together, characters came and went and who cares. And stupidly convenient set-pieces.
And uh, I guess the draw was breaking the fourth wall, or being oh so funny, as in the comics. I found it as funny as a bad Arrow episode. And all Arrow episodes are bad.
And I'm even a Ryan Reynolds fan. I EVEN liked him as the original in that X-Men movie. I EVEN thought he and Mark Strong were the only good things in Green Lantern. And this, his passion project, sucks ass. South Park did it. Arrow did it. The comic book did it.
Outside of hardcore fans I can't fathom why anyone would rate this "90%" as anything other than a popcorn flick to get one's sad existence through a couple more hours prior to death, or to bed a fetching lass or lad. The movie as is sucks ass.
Oh gee in order to review, even as a stoic, or pacifist, they say I must also aggress. So I guess three stars since I'm drunk and personally think it's horseshit but I guess other people see things in it with their microscopes and hipster ponytails. THREE STARS THAT'S MY FINAL OFFER.
